But since we've been to the country and rasanya the culture sama je mcm kat negara ni... but we never expect something like this video would ever happened... harap2 tak akan jd kat D0ha ni.. insyaAllah...
(still title politik afrika, yes bahrain bukan kat afrika... but the politik mcm afrika - even an insult to african, i know... sorry)

Politik Afrika (Mesir)
byk sungguh cite politik africa (yup, mesir ni africa, north africa) selepas sudan dan ivory coast, muncul kisah tunisia, then egypt... and dengar cite nya algeria is soon... kisah revolution kat mesir ni, menyebabkan aku terpana kat depan tv follow the stories... for those yg tak berapa follow (yeah and i understand cite pasal mesir ni tak really well told kat tv malaysia pun :-) ) so here is the summary...
First Part:
The first episode of Egypt Burning tells the story of five days in January 2011 when the people of Egypt broke through a barrier of fear they had known for a generation and rose in revolt against their president.
Anger had long been brewing in Egypt - strikes, unemployment and sectarian tension were on the rise.
Small networks of activists had been agitating against Hosni Mubarak's autocratic rule for years. But it was only when another Arab country, Tunisia, rose up against its tyrant that the Egyptian activists attracted mass support.
People took to the streets across Egypt demanding political freedoms, an end to state corruption and a better quality of life for the impoverished population.
second part:
After seven days of mass protests, a people's movement had taken hold of the country.
At Tahrir Square in the centre of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, the police had melted away. The army had moved in, but was doing nothing to stop the protests.
Full of hope and sensing that the regime might be cracking, the protesters called for a million people to gather and voice their demand that Hosni Mubarak step down. But the regime was about to fight back.
hope this helps you to understand further on what's happening kat mesir tu.
(sorry been so malas utk tulis, i will update the blog and backdate the stories, skit lagi ada entry sblm entry ni)

Politik Afrika...
ada 2 berita pasal politik kat negara africa yg menarik minat aku lately...
1. Cote D'1voire (1vory Coast) 2010 Presidential Election - (Cote D'Ivoire tu pronounce as Kote Divuar)
ni kisah pasal presidential election kat Ivory Coast tahun lepas.
Since then, banyak perbincangan antara pemimpin2 dunia esp. dr Afrika utk menyelesaikan perbalahan.
Since keluar pilihanraya, Gbagbo mengarahkan tentera mengawal Outtara ni kat hotel and tak blh keluar. tp berita semlm ada menyatakan yg Gbagbo dah bersedia utk bermesyuarat...
let's see apa akan jadi lepas ni... (to read more, boleh baca kat sini, sini dan macam2 lagi sumber...)
2. 5outhern 5udan 1ndenpendence Referendum 2011
Ni satu lagi negara yg asyik lah berlaku civil war... so the southern yg lebih ditindas akan buat referendum utk memilih samada stay kat dlm sudan atau pun keluar dr sudan. Referendum ni akan berlaku dlm 4 hari lagi (9hb Jan 2011). heard that apa saja keputusan referendum tu, ketegangan pasti berlaku... hmm... would there be a new country emerge on 10th January ni???
when they claimed ditindas, maksudnya depa tak dpt hasil minyak, tak dpt equal peluang pekerjaan, development kat kawasan south ni... etc... for mor info, please do check on other website esp. the easiest en wiki... and of course here... (malas aku nak komen panjang am aint reporter nor political analyst, nanti salah term plak).
but since berita ni asyik keluar kat tv, interested lah nak tahu lanjut n do the read up.

yg kuning ke coklat tu kawasan Outtara, the reds plak lebih pada Gbagbo...

HIQ : Qa+ar Exxonm0bil 0pen
From today sampai weekend ni ada tennis match kat Khalifa Stadium... if you have nothing to do and enjoy watching live tennis match, go and buy your ticket... tp jgn harap lah dpt tiket2 yg dok depan. dah abis kot.
You can see details of the tournament here... QTF website.
Both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal participate in this tournament... tp depa je lah yg top 10 pun (hehehe... kena bayar lebih ke depa ni?) 4th seeded for this tournament is 22nd seeded in the world ranking... yg lain2 tu lagi lah rendah... but still when it is international match it should be exciting to watch... (still depa ni lagi bagus dr pemain malaysia :-) ) here is the promo for the tournament... main atas air tahun ni... (nice doha skyline in this video)

New year... 2011
Yeah... as always, org taruh resolution when come new year... and as always, my resolutions since i landed in Doha... remains the same... learn arabic!!! by the end of 2011 kalau aku still kat sini, meaning dah 5 tahun aku kat Doha ni, my fluency in arabic, none!!! bodoh ya amat... kalau bangla kat malaysia ni, by 5 years dah for sure tahu bahasa melayu, siap blh tackle awek melayu lagi... hampeh betul aku... ok, this month kena cari kelas and terus sign up... (hmm... jap jap... nak kena masuk bajet ni).
that's my first resolution, hmmm... aku rasa nak letak 2 je resolution... so my second resolution would be, less facebooking... aku rasa mcm life aku dah overly wasted sbb facebook... bgn tido tgk facebook, masuk office tgk facebook, balik umah tgk facebook and sebelum tgk facebook. aku rasa sgt membazir masa. to replace facebooking, i need to start reading again... byk buku aku beli tak baca2... buku kat tepi blog ni dah 2 tahun aku beli n taruh tepi katil, tak abis pun. Ada byk buku pasal middle east, balkan etc... pun beli je, tak baca2... Quran pun... lagi satu, tak baca2.... tp sibuk lah berfacebook... although there's a word book in facebook, but reading facebook i dont think qualify as baca buku... :-) ok, less facebook please.
- angan2 2 - Russia - Moscow and about.... i think this itinerary looks interesting... see here tp problem russia ni, bahasa and nak kena ada invitation letter tu.
- angan2 3 - Germany - ok i don't really like western europe tp terasa macam nak g german among other places, nak g berlin. ok, sebenarnya lagi minat nak g spain, tp since i only give 10 days for this second quarter trip, i think again i have to leave spain to later dates.. :-( aku berangan nak g spain n portugal in 2 - 3 weeks terus... so for angan2 3 ni, german would do.
- angan2 5 - Uzbekistan. almost the same difficulty mcm g russia kot. but i think i have a friend who i can refer to... 10 days is good to travel to this country, can get to Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Its central asia, totally different experience. and itinerary ni proved that it can be done in 10 days... see here.

London & Washington DC - for work i think first quarter.
Malaysia - sekali balik for work and 2 kali balik for the wedding
Brazil (Rio) - seminggu in July
Maldives - honeymoon
Dubai - Muscat, Dubai - Musanddam - with family in March and another one last November.
hmmm... tak kemana sangat last year :-( tak menjadi g trip to Iran and road trip g umrah Ramadhan and road trip berangan g ke Jordan and Syria at year end.
so for 2011 this is my vacation berangan plan (ok, lets just do once every 4 months) - please note, ni berangan je, maybe tak jadi pun hehehe...:
First Quarter - probably end January to mid Feb - Road trip Umrah (1 week)
Second Quarter - probably mid April til end May - 10 days or so... ni ada few options:
- angan2 1 - Morocco... probably in 10 days good enough utk travel from casablanca to rabat to marakesh to tangiers...

- angan2 5 - Uzbekistan. almost the same difficulty mcm g russia kot. but i think i have a friend who i can refer to... 10 days is good to travel to this country, can get to Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Its central asia, totally different experience. and itinerary ni proved that it can be done in 10 days... see here.Third Quarter - balik malaysia for raya (end august to most of september). a month to 5 weeks. so masa raya, family time je lah. kalau berangan nak travel pun, maximum ho chin minh or bandung... which is cheaper?
Fourth Quarter - ni kena align ngan cuti raya haji... so that would be around early november. tak leh travel europe for sure, aku tak nak kena stranded kalau tetiba early snow. kalau ada banyak cuti maybe instead of early november, g end of december. kalau cuti yg ni probably try g somewhere near mid east. Egypt or Jordan & Damascus if it will be in November. Kalau later end of the year try Iran.
oooh.... so berangan :-) but biasa lah aku, mmg suka bab berangan nak travel ni, alih2 tak g mana... sbb tetiba ada hal lagi penting especially kalau tetiba dpt.... hehehe... all plans will change :-)
