I've already put up an advertisement at QL, a website/forum for people living in Qatar. In less than 30 minutes, I've already received a call from a potential buyer...
I consider the future buyer is kind of lucky, because I am going to change the car battery soon... it has fall flat right after I put up the advertisement.... I wonder, if the car is showing his protest (due to the advert)...?? Anyway, after 2 and half years without any problem, i think it is about time to change the battery...
Sekrg zal dah keje kat Malaysia... dah kawin dan ada anak... jd travel dia dah lain... so check out his other blog... travellingbabies.blogspot.com

Passport Malaysia...
Antara benda yg aku sangat berbangga ngan Malaysia masa aku kat oversea ni ialah pasal ke'laku'an passport kita kat mana2 negara pun mcm senang je nak masuk... except israel lah (melepas aku nak g keje kat jerusalem... camne ek nak masuk israel??? hmmm) so sbb kan laku nya passport malaysia, banyak lah passport ni kena ciplak, seludup etc... dan dgn visa pun dah makin senang nak dapat... makin ramai pendatang kat malaysia ni... ni berita kat utusan citer pasal visa... (visa malaysia senang nak dapat)
pagi semalam ada budak office aku dtg jumpa aku... org pakistan, dia citer pasal kawan dia org india cuba nak dpt passport Malaysia. Dia kata kawan dia tu blh and akan dpt passport malaysia in the next 5 months... dia cuma kena bayar RM15k to RM20k utk dapatkan passport Malaysia tu. What he needs is to give 8 pictures and a copy of his Indian Passport.
Proses dia mudah... lepas dia bagi gambar and copy passport tu.... dlm tempoh 5 bulan dia akan dipanggil utk interview and serahkan indian passport original dia. pas tu, passport malaysia akan diissue then indian passport dia akan diserahkan ke indian embassy utk dicancelkan... once passport malaysia diissue, dia kena serahkan RM15k to Rm20k tu pada agent dia tu...
kawan aku tanya aku, what do i think... legal ke tak benda ni... it sounds legal... sbb g interview semua and done by govt tak nampak mcm a fake passport yg kena issue. and tak de pun risk sbb duit cuma dibayar setelah dpt passport. aku cakap gak yg aku tak tahu process yg sebenar mcm mana nak dptkan passport, so aku tak leh nak komen byk... mungkin it is as simple as that.. but i really doubt so lah... my knowledge mmg sangat kurang on that but i know ppl yg dah bertahun minta passport tapi tak dapat2... and the fee tu mcm tak logic, mahal betul!!! aku rasa patutnya admin fee je yg tak lah sampai RM15k!!
kawan aku tu pun mcm tak berapa sure pasal procedure tu.. sbb mudah sgt... n nothing asked... not even qualification, profesional papers etc... dia takut benda ni tak jadi... aku cakap so long as tak kena byr up front... there's nothing to loose... aku rasa, in my own theory, could probably the agent will make the application as valid as possible, with all the infos yg mmg membuatkan mamat tu layak utk jd Malaysia passport holder, termasuk la buat sijil2 photocopy tiruan etc... hmmm.... agaknya lah..
then kawan aku tanya... is that money consider rasuah??? dia tanya aku... kat malaysia ni wujud ke rasuah??? and kalau rasuah, kenapa amount sikit sangat (Rm20k is nothing kalau kat doha ni) aku mcm tak tahu nak jawab... tak tahu mcm nak explain how chronic situasi rasuah kat malaysia... and guna org dlm punya issue... aku cuma mampu mengaku it happened but only on higher level (konon! kalau nak ikutkan hati nak je citer the level of rasuah kat malaysia, segan lah plak nak buka citer)... and aku mmg mengaku RM20k is a big money kat malaysia...
pretty embarassing moment, terpaksa mengaku betapa bobroknya sistem kat negara kita... kalau ada duit, kenal org... memang semua blh jadi kat malaysia... tp org2 yg dipertanggungjawab ni sanggup tu jual passport malaysia ni... dulu bila UK nak revise pelepasan visa kat Malaysian Passport holder... terkocoh2 lah kerajaan... tp org dalam still buat benda2 mcm ni... hmmm.....
kalau status passport malaysia jatuh, org yg kaki travel mcm aku ni, mmg lah affected... memalukan lah benda ni.... btw... kalau ada org2 government baca entry ni (mcm lah ada kan) jgn cari aku utk dapatkan maklumat... cek your own ppl...!!! depa lebih tahu...

JNB vs NBO..
kengkawan ada tanya aku, since aku br balik dr business trip, pasal trip aku ke JNB n NBO tempoh hari... sort of question like, a very general like, mcm mana afrika? to safety issue, the city, the roads, the people, the food.... mcm2 lah... bear in mind, semua depa ni tak de baca blog ni, so depa tak tahu apa aku dah cite kat sini... (or perhaps depa ada baca but nak dengar sendiri... hahaha)
but among all, ramai gak yg tanya the difference between the 2 cities, which one i prefer.... how about working n living there.... since aku dah address many issue before, tak de lah aku nak ulang balik... although this entry can be considered as separa ulangan lah.. hahaha...
talking about working n living in the cities (JNB and NBO)... aku rasa tak lah teruk sangat. although malaysian community tak ramai, tp muslim community besar gak... and dengan ayam dan daging halal senang nak dapat kat both places, alhamdulillah... bab makan tu settle. plus at both places mmg besar gak community india, so bab makan ni ok lah jugak.
on safety, both places mmg dikatakan tak berapa selamat. but NBO dikatakan lebih banyak petty crimes e.g. pick pockets and pow duit kat tepi jalan per se... while JNB plak katanya lebih banyak bigger crime i.e. involves senjata. Alhamdulillah aku tak kena apa2... tp at both places aku ada dengar kisah org kereta kena hijack and org pecah masuk umah... at both places umah2 mostly equipped ngan guards and electric fences, tp aku rasa kat NBO lebih nampak electric fences, kat JNB lebih relax on that. anyway, at both places it is not advisable to go out at night. aku pun at most of the time, lepas maghrib dah stay at home. jarang2 keluar... and for me, bila dah sampai sana, we can judge ourselves lah...
on development... JNB is way well developed compared to NBO... tanpa mengira the real GDP or economy development etc aku punya judgement on development pretty simple... shopping malls!!! hahaha... JNB shopping mall serves more items and brands yg familiar to us... byk choices and byk malls... :-).... roads and driving experience, for sure again JNB wins. NBO tu mmg macam tak de road rules... jalan pun tak cantik...
on people... aku dpt rasa yg kat NBO ppl are friendlier... aku rasa kat NBO dgn mmg semua locals kulit hitam, any white/asians mostly tourist (apart from expats esp keje kat UN). so locals welcome us more... compared to JNB yg among the locals are white ppl and asians mmg ramai... so kita ni mcm biasa je lah... perhaps, NBO ppl lebih melayan sbb they know we bring monies kot... hahaha... tp, but seriously NBO terasa lots friendlier which ultimately membuatkan kita rasa slightly relax and safe (slight je lah...)
cost of living... aku rasa sama je kot... kat JNB lebih banyak choice for a cheaper items... kat NBO pun byk barang murah.. but that means, brg2 local... food prices, almost the same (restaurants). sbb aku tak g beli barang2 mentah, aku tak sure sangat kat ne murah kat ne mahal... but since i was on business trip, aku tak adventurous on food, tak nak sakit perut... :-)
places of interest... aku tak g safari kat JNB, org kata Kruger park tu pun bagus gak... tp NBO - masai mara ada migration yg tak de kat krugers park... if both mcm sama, JNB menang sbb CPT wujud kat dlm negara yg sama... CPT mmg best nak visit... so again JNB menang... but it is CPT yg bg JNB menang (CPT - capetown.. :-) )
In summary, aku rasa JNB is a better place to stay kot... byk benda blh buat... blh shop... and terasa moden skit :-)...

It's all about food... and of course good frens..
Seminggu terakhir aku kat nairobi, punya lah aku tak sabar nak balik doha... tp setelah sejam aku balik ada regret jap, largely due to weather condition yg panas ya amat... but panas2 pun, dah 2 kali summer aku survive doha.. :-) so no big deal...
more more food malam jumaat tu... ada pasar malam plak.. buat julung2 kalinya ada pasar malam kat doha... almost like bazaar ramadhan yg aku joined dulu, now ada pasar malam plak. but it was scorching hot... aku dengan rela hati nya tolong member2 aku berjual.. jadi cashier tak bergaji... :-) aku dtg lepas maghrib, in first 10 minutes 1/4 brg2 jualan dah abis... and in an hour semua licin... tp giler panas... aku dok 10 minit mcm dah berlari 20 minit... huh.....
next, on saturday, again as a welcoming gesture, tokey pasar malam plak buat makan2... we had nasi ayam n laksam... makan2 like usual... mmg tak de aktiviti pun...
on the second day aku blh doha... aku dah realise why i missed doha so much... its the food... i mean malaysian food yg kawan2 masak utk aku :-)... pepagi ahad tu, ada kawan aku secara 'sukarela' cooked breakfast for me... sambil2 menyambut pengantin baru (kwn aku yg br kawin n balik ke doha bawak bini dia...) we had lovely breakfast... and sembang2 :-)

its all about frens (and food) that i missed doha the most... :-) kalau depa semua ni bawak g mana2 even kat kabul pun, i think surely aku blh survive... tp aku je lah yg nak g kabul, depa semua ni jangan harap... :-) thanks guys (and sis) sbb rajin masakkan utk aku... although dgn tema meraikan pengantin baru... i know u all masak for me and melayan je kerenah aku.. hahaha (so obvious!!!)

NBO : Leaving NBO...
After almost 2 months (tak cukup sehari nak genap 2 bulan) aku duduk africa ni, akhirnya kena lah balik ke Doha semula... aku mmg tak sabar nak balik sejak minggu lepas... tp hari ni aku rasa mcm dok sini pun best jugak :-)ntah bila aku mampu datang sini lagi... ntah boleh ke aku buat keje yg sama kat tempat lain pulak? Alhamdulillah... african being very nice to me... so far walaupun katanya mcm ada masalah keselamatan, Alhamdulillah semua ok... and katanya mcm africa not well developed, Alhamdulillah aku seronok gak dok sini... :-)Flight aku petang ni jam 3pm (8pm malaysia time) dr Jomo Kenyatta Airport... akan sampai ke Doha International Airport jam 8pm (1am malaysia time). 5 jam perjalanan... naik Qatar Airways... Twende Twende...(pics of central Nairobi... taken from Upper Hill behind Uhuru Park...)

NBO : Relaxing weekend...
Aku sampai Nairobi dr Joburg awal pagi Rabu... tak tido malam... so ari Rabu tu keje separuh hari je.. dah lah separuh hari... tak productive plak tu... malas ya amat.... ingatkan rabu je gitu... khamis jumaat pun penat jugak.... aku dah tak sabar nak balik Doha... tak sangka aku blh homesick ngan Doha hahaha.... tp aku rasa sbb trip yg extended version ni yg buat aku penat. cadangnya 2 - 3 minggu jadi 2 bulan.
Weekend aku decided untuk relax je... semenjak aku keluar 2 bulan sudah, almost everyweekend aku asyik jalan2 abiskan duit.. hahaha... but weekend ni kalau jalan pun, cuma hunting for souvenirs je (abis duit gak)... tp ntah camner ada org dr Couch Surfers ajak join melepak hari ahad tu... so aku join lah picnic kecil kecilan.. seronok bila dapat join locals... :-) and for the first time aku naik matatu... matatu ni van yg jadi pengangkutan awam. it is seriously not advisable for foreigner naik matatu, tp since aku ada member, ok lah...budak kecik ni, aku rasa tak pernah tengok org hensem kot... selama 5-10 minit aku dok sebelah dia... mata dia tak alih tgk aku... hahahaha
kitaorg picnic kat park called arberatum, park ni kat dlm nairobi je. saja je depa melepak2 sembang2... but apa yg aku rasa kelakar kat park ni banyak preachers, those yg patutnya bg ceramah kat church tu bg ceramah kat tgh park tp cakap sorang2 or cakap dengan pokok. pastu kalau slow2 tak pe lah, volume suara mcm bg ceramah kat 100 org... pastu jalan mundar mandir.
not only that... park tu penuh lah dgn groups of youngsters yg main games... could probably rombongan sekolah. and ramai gak church groups yg menyanyi gospel n preach in a group... pendek kata, kalau sensorang takut gak (since am not christian) tp sesapa christian maybe lah kata tu perkembangan sihat... but my group of frens semua lah buat joke pasal org2 tu... aku gelakkan aje...
so after tawaf the park, we stopped at a bench n buka makanan.. mainly sandwich je... sambil sembang2 n layan budak kecik yg petah bercakap... it was relaxing n fun... gelak2 and share abt citer2 org kenya...

Bye Bye Abe...
bertemu dan berpisah adat manusia biasa...hilang di mata tapi di hati tidak lupa....
aku sebenarnya kecewa gile sebab tak dapat nak g hantar abe zu (pic above) balik for good... dia antara org2 terawal yg aku kenal kat doha... tp tak lah baik sangat masa awal2 kenal tu... hehehe.. biasa lah dia tu dah tua... hahaha....
anyway, dengan dia lah antara member/abang yg aku rapat masa kat doha... bila2 mcm bengong tu, aku saja je ajak dia melepak hahaha... actually masa melepak ramai2, kewujudan abe mmg bg impak... and mcm kurang je kalau abe takde... :-) so... lepas2 ni... dia dah blah... mcm mana lah gamak nya... although semua keputusan makan2 ke... aktiviti.... jalan2... buat sama2... tp kalau abe kata ok, br lah org lain kata ok... although tak lah directly sgt... tp mungkin sbb dia tua kot.. hahaha...
byk kenangan ngan abe... and definitely the most memorable masa trip g ke muscat tu... walaupun masa tu kehadiran abe tak significant sangat... sbb dia dok tepi2 je... tp kes patah kaki dia tu antara highlight of the trip masa trip tu...
semlm abe dah blah... balik malaysia for good sbb construction projek company dia dah siap dah... katanya dia akan dtg semula doha... tp dunno lah... menyesal gak tak dpt g sama2 hantar dia... :-( anyway, bak kata abe... balik malaysia blh je melepak sekali...
all the best abe!!!!
p/s - harap2 minggu depan dpt balik doha...

CPT - JNB : leaving S.A
After 3 hari kat CPT aku balik semula ke JNB... but not for long sebelum balik semula ke NBO... sebelum balik ke DOH a week after that...
oh.. aku terlupa nak citer pasal my hotel kat cape town.. the one i like the most... this is the last hotel/apartment aku duduk... with sea view at price of USD100 per night... best giler!!!
aku rasa nothing much to talk about dah... tak larat citer pasal JNB or NBO... hehehe... tp view table mountain ni of course tetap dlm kenangan...
btw... cape town is on my top list for places i have been... :-) insyaAllah akan dtg lagi..
