Taxi and embassy...

Because i don't have a car of my own, i have to rely on public transport especially taxis and private cars... hmm.. dah lah banyak incident happened to me involving private cars (ooh tapi citer dia sensitive skit... nanti2 lah citer), anyway, taxi drivers also deserve an entry here....

the problem with the taxi drivers here are; they don't know the way around the city, they have not mastered the roads and landmarks! so taking a meter cab (they call it Kar-wa here) meaning u have to make sure that u know where you are going. ok, bukanlah depa tak tahu langsung, the main buildings and landmarks depa tahu lah... but definitely they (i think most of them) don't know how to get to Msia embassy. (msian embassy tak masuk map kat sini... i dont know why). hmmm.. tpt2 lain pon sama ajer...

yesterday i went to the msian embassy, to send my registration form. ooh! one more thing, these days it's hard to get a taxi around the city area as 2000 taxi drivers are in training for the coming Asia Games. dah kat city center pon tak der taxi, kat area embassy langsung lah. but anyway, i've waited for approximately 10 minutes under the very hot sun totally tak der shade (habis lah lepas nih hitam) until i got a taxi. masuk ajer dlm taxi the taxi driver asked me whether i know the way where i wanna go... hehehe... i said yes i do. luckily he admitted that it was his first day working. but the worse thing he can't really communicate in english (i have to point right and left because he doesnt understand what's the meaning of right and left!!!!) and he knows nothing about d0ha, nothing at all i guess... uuuh... that is not the worst part (i mean for him lah) he doesn't know how to operate the taxi meter!!! and he got the guts to ask me how to start the machine!!! crazy... i said.... "uh.. i think it's ok... if that's what they tell u to do...(after he press few buttons based on the instruction written in Urdu') hehehe... but it is still clearly and hugely stated onthe machine that it is still VACANT, so that the meter didn't move... bengong tak bengong kan.... the meter remained at QR3 until i reached my office, anyway i give him QR5 ler... (i suppose the fare should be around QR10-QR15...)

ok... talking about embassy, i actually don't know what's the purpose we have embassy abroad... maybe i'm an ignorant citizen... but seriously i don't know. and not only me, few other m'sian friends also complaint the same. ok, yesterday i went to embassy for registering myself as m'sian living in Qtar. I did try to submit the form during the celebration and gathering held in the embassy, however, my form was not accepted as those majlis were held after office hour. there's one time i was reminded by an embassy staff that my m'sian citizenship can be revoked if i dont register (ingat tak kat entry lepas, masa kat majlis hari raya tu). ok, so yesterday i went there to submit the form. to my surprise there was only the receptionist in the embassy and he is not even a m'sian!!! what's the purpose of asking me to submit the form during office hour!!! all the officers in the office went out, to pick children, went to the bank, went here went there... if this is the case, what's the real reason i need to submit the form during office hour!!! can't they just put a box during those majlis so m'sian can just drop our registration form there. I don't even need to sign anything at all!!! there's totally no evidence that i've registered myself!!! i'm clueless.. dah lah susah nak dpt teksi.. and seriously harder to get a taxi back!!! i was really really pissed off with the incident. sigh... it's not that i want to see them, but at least make sure at least one officer in the office. a person that at least i can ask about D0ha, M'sia and etc... uurgggh...

anyway, nasib baik lepas keluar dr embassy i met that stupid taxi driver... so tenang lah sikit!!! :-)
